Most of what I know is from what has been told of me by the guy I bought the Goat from. The car was originally sold in Canada, and was said to only have one owner prior to being brought to the states.
It was brought into the states about 10 years ago, where it sat with a collector until the late 90's. It was then bought by a guy in Florida who recognized the car has matching numbers and was in very good shape - never been wrecked or modified. He did a pretty good job at restoring the body of the car and painting it. (It was originally Green - the only thing not original on the car)
I had been looking for a 67 GTO for about 3 years when I found this one. I was starting to think that I would never get one, as the prices were moving up fast back then. I got lucky and this guy took to me and wanted the car to go to a good owner. We finally agreed on a price, and I drove the car back from Florida without a single problem. The car drives amazingly well for a 40 year old vehicle.
Since owning the car, it has been stored inside and never seen rain. I personally removed the engine and transmission and had them both professionally rebuilt, before re-installing. The drivetrain is better than brand new right now and needs absolutely nothing.
I hope to sell the car this spring/summer and would like to see it go to an owner that plans on maintaining the condition of this vehicle.
